Legal Aid of Wyoming Inc. is a federally funded,
non-profit law firm. We provide legal assistance to low income
individuals living in Wyoming.
Legal Aid maintains four offices across Wyoming.
The administrative office is located in Cheyenne and satellite offices
are located in Casper, Lander and the Wind River Indian Reservation.
Each office is staffed by attorneys and support staff, trained to assist
you with your legal questions and problems.
Legal Aid provides representation in many, though
not all, types of civil cases. We cannot represent defendants in
criminal cases. If you have been charged with a crime, you should
request that the court appoint an attorney to represent you if you
cannot afford one.
Eligibility:
Applicants must first financially qualify to be eligible for services.
Each applicant must disclose gross monthly income, number of persons in
the family, other assets, and provide a brief statement of the legal
problem.
Intake: Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9:00 and 2:00
Mountain time, Legal Aid screens and accepts new clients. Client may
call the central intake office by calling (307) 432-0807 in Cheyenne and
1-877-432-9955 toll free around the state of Wyoming.
